Shacklett Church of Christ

Preaching

Every Sunday we have a 25-30 minute sermon centered on the Bible.  The messages delivered are uplifting.  At the end of the sermon will be an invitation. This is a great opportunity for those who need it, to come forward and commit themselves. or ask for a  prayer request.  If there are those who would like to be baptized, you will be able to witness the baptism during our service.

Acts 2:38"Peter Replied, Repent and be baptized every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit"

Offering

Every Sunday, we have a collection plate for a financial offering. It's not a solicitation from our visitors. This money goes to further the work of the church as overseen by our leadership.  Visitors are not obligated to give unless you desire to do so.

Prayer

We offer prayers to God during our worship service. Faithful men will offer prayers to God at the beginning and the end of our worship.

Singing

Singing is an uplifting and inspirational part of our worship. We sing in acapella, singing without the use of instruments. In Ephesians 5:19"speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from you heart to the Lord"

Lord's Supper

We partake in the memorial of the Lord's Supper, every Sunday, the first day of the week.

1. The Bread(Matthew 26:26)

      This represents Christ Body.

2. The fruit of the vine(Matthew 26:27-28)

This represents the blood of Christ

Act 20:7"And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight"

Simple and Devoted Worship

We want our worship to uplift and help us be closer to God, giving us spiritual strength.  Our worship comes from the design of the early church that Jesus established.  We partake in the Lord's Supper, we sing, we pray, and we preach the word of God.

A Warm and Friendly Welcome

We know it can be overwhelming to visit a new church.  If you're a visitor to Shacklett, you will be with folks who truly love God. As a visitor we want you to feel welcome and uplifted.
